Grenoble Via Ferrata | Presentation
First of all, the Grenoble via ferrata is about 5 minutes walk from the citycentre. Nevertheless, you will be in the mountains, out of the urbanized zone. It is a typical characteristic of Grenoble. This via ferrata is divided into 3 parts.
The first one consists in the rise of a pilar about fifteen meters high and then, a long crossing using a rope bridge and a Himalayan bridge or a big footbridge. After a forest walk, it will be time to start the second part.
The beginning of the second part is difficult because it is a little sloping. Once you have passed those 5 meters, you will enjoy a beautiful view over Grenoble and the Isère valley. Landscapes are even more amazing at the end of the day, when the sun goes down. Finally, the third part is very short and reaches La Bastille. After that, you will just have to come back down by the classical path of La Bastille.
Program of the day in the Grenoble via ferrata
Your activity starts with the meeting with your via ferratainstructor. It will take place on the Esplanade carpark close to Grenoble Porte de France.
