Sassenage Canyoning | Presentation
The Sassenage canyoning is a benchmark canyon in Grenoble. It is located right next to the town and yet it manages to keep its wild character. Here, you can abseil down about fifteen meters. The famous "cascade de tuff" is almost 20 meters high for an abseiling experience in either wet or dry conditions depending on the water flow. The last cascade offers some nice jumping experiences too. There are also some spots where you can do some short underwater tunnel diving (optional). The Furon canyon is shaded and in general, there aren't too many people in this canyon during the summer period.
The Sassenage canyoning spot, also known as the lower part of the Furon guarantees a great half-day adventure with thrills and beautiful scenery.
